Certificate of Proficiency in English

(CPE) – CambridgeThis is the most advanced general English Exam provided by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. The English level of those who have passed the CPE is similar to that of an educated native speaker of English. The exam comprises of 5 parts:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Use of English
  • Listening
  • Speaking

From 2013 the exam switches to a new version consisting of the following four parts:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Listening
  • Speaking

The Certificate of Proficiency is ideal for those who want to work or study abroad or to develop a career which requires language skills e.g. business, medicine, engineering etc. It is recognised by many Universities and Employers throughout the world and like all other Cambridge exams once the candidate has passed the exams this qualification never expires.
